Can ya’ll believe my baby girl is already 1 year old? It seems like yesterday, Justin and I were anxiously awaiting her arrival. Now we are anxiously awaiting what she will get into next :-)
Here is a little of what she is doing these days.
She can say about 4 words (or sounds that we know are associated with something specific). She can say: Mama, Dada, duck (her bath toy that she LOVES dearly) and Mah (which is for “Max”, our dog). If your name is a high pitch squeal, she can say your name too! Her best way to communicate is by pointing and grunting!
She is walking all over the place. She knows how to go up and down the step in our house by herself, she can get off the couch and chairs in our house by herself and she LOVES to climb.
Max, our dog, is her big obsession right now. She worries him crazy, calling him to the back door all the time. She will scream his name, “Mah”, over and over until he comes to the back door to greet her. When he is in the house, she pulls him, pats him and laughs when he knocks her in the head with his tail!
She loves her bath time…especially her bath toy, “duck”.
She loves to be scared. If you sneak up behind her or pretend you are going to drop her, she laughs so hard! I definitely think she is going to be a thrill seeker!
She loves to wear bracelets. Ya’ll know I don’t wear bracelets often, but when her MiMi or Grammy come over, that is the first thing she goes for. She will put the bracelet on her wrist and walk around the house with her elbow and wrist bent, so that they don’t fall off.
She does NOT like to be fed from a spoon. If she can’t pick it up and look at it, chances are, she not going to eat it!
She can unroll an entire roll of toilet paper in the time it takes me to walk from my kitchen to the hallway (which is only 2 or 3 steps).
Her favorite time of day is when her daddy comes home from work. When she hears the back door open and sees it is him, she starts giggling in a very high pitch and bounces up and down until he picks her up! Melts my heart completely!

Happy 1st Birthday, Addison! It just goes by so fast!
And I can totally sympathize with the toilet paper thing :-)
